Dear friends -

This week was the celebration of All Saints' Day as well as various traditional ways to reflect upon and give thanks for our ancestors, most especially those loved ones whom we have lost over the last year. My social media was awash with reflections and photos and some very grand Día de los Muertos displays.

This Sunday is our annual All Saints' Sunday worship where we will offer a time for people to name aloud loved ones who have died in the last year as well as remember our own Anita Kucera. There will also be a chance for individuals to light a candle in memory a loved one who has died in the last year when we come forward for communion.

It is fitting that our theme for this Sunday's sabbath series is also about storytelling. It is from our ancestors - long ago through faith and more recent - that we most often hear the stories of how we have been formed as God's people. What stories have shaped your life? What stories help you grow into the person you want to be?

See you Sunday!

Jess
