Christian Formation is a fancy way of saying: how we learn to follow Jesus more closely. We seek to be formed into Christ’s disciples, helping to care, heal, and love as well as seek social justice that is seen in the good news we read in the Bible. Ways we become better disciples include participating in:

Sunday School For All Ages

Every Sunday morning, from 9:30 -10:15 am, people of all ages can come to learn about the Bible. We offer a nursery for children ages newborn to 3 years, a children's Sunday School for children ages 4 years-5th grade, a youth Sunday School for 6th-12th grade, and an adult Bible study for adults of all ages.

Youth Group

Our middle and High School youth group meets Sunday evenings from 6:30 - 8:30 pm at River Glen.

Men's Groups

From the Saturday morning breakfast club, to bible study, to our spring retreat, there is something for everyone in our active and thriving men's ministry.

Thursday Book Studies, 10 AM at River Glen

Empty Nesters

This group of senior adults continues to grow spiritually by sharing in book and Bible studies periodically.  They are also involved in service projects.  Through a variety of events, every member of this group has an opportunity to enjoy the company and fellowship of other mature Christians.  For more information, contact Peg McCall.

REV Wednesdays

REV Wednesday is our Wednesday night program running through late winter and early spring. We generally serve a dinner, and then adults are invited to listen to a presentation or a lesson while children practice for the spring musical.

Big Splash

Join old friends and make new friends on a weekend early September at the beautiful Covenant Harbor Retreat Center in Lake Geneva. This fun-filled get-away includes activities and discussions to help us better understand how we all can encounter joy in different ways and unexpected places.

Outside there are places to walk, places to play (zip lining, ropes courses, beach volleyball), and places to worship (a boathouse, an amphitheater, campfires).  Inside, recently remodeled rooms with private baths and a group dining room, meeting rooms, and a full-size gymnasium and game room await you. And, all of this is just a short lakeside walk from quaint downtown Lake Geneva —there is something for everyone.

Small Group Bible Study

One of the best ways to connect in a church and to grow spiritually is to join a small group. Many members and friends of River Glen are in a small group of eight to twelve members, meeting at a variety of times and intervals to share a book or bible study of their choosing.  At least once a year, a church-wide small group study is provided to coordinate with the sermons.  Much care is offered and received through the naturally occurring friendships in small groups. Please check with the church to find out about groups that are forming now.

Vacation Bible School

Information for VBS 2020 will be coming in the spring. Thank you for coming and for all the help this year! We can't wait to see you again for another week of fun, games, science, crafts, music, and storytelling!

Scraps on a Mission

Creating quilts for cancer patients & nursing home residents. All levels of skill are welcome.

Yarns of Love

Yarns of Love is a knitting and crocheting fellowship which began to answer a national call for woolen helmet liners for our soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan. They have expanded to create lap robes for a VA Hospital and baby caps for infants in developing countries, and they are beginning a Prayer Shawl Ministry for church members and friends. They meet once a month at the church and welcome beginners as well as experienced needle-workers.
