Pastor - Head of Staff
Rev. Jenny Hubbard
Rev Jenny Hubbard’s favorite verse is Matthew 28:20 when Jesus is commissioning his disciples to carry on the good news and says ”and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Jesus’ promise of his presence has always been important to her in her own ministry and in her service to the church.
This began with serving as the Director of Children’s Ministries at Knox Presbyterian Church for 12 years. During that time she received her MDiv from McCormick Theological Seminary in 2017 and after fulfilling all the requirements for ordination, received her first call as a Pastor to AuSable Grove Presbyterian Church in 2020. Prior to being called to serve in the church, Jenny worked at Fox Valley Special Recreation Association as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist and has a bachelor’s of science in Therapeutic Recreation.
Jenny has been very involved with Indian Prairie Great Banquet from its beginning. She served as the Community Spiritual Director for 3 years and continues to serve as the Head Spiritual for the women’s weekends from time to time.
Jenny enjoys reading, gardening, being with her dog Ava who she adopted four years ago, meals with her family which usually includes lively conversation, travel with Brian and ALL things Disney. Jenny and Brian have been married for 31 years and have three great kids - Taylor, Matthew and Katelyn. She also loves her sweet but sometimes grumpy cat Chase.
