Here are the Top 5 highlights from the Quarterly Leadership Council meeting on Tuesday night.
• The Communication and Technology team has created a “Key Leaders Checklist,” which was distributed at the Quarterly Leadership Conference. Every team leader has been asked to gather their team’s Important Tasks, Critical Documents, and Key Contacts using this checklist. The goal is to collect all of this information and store it in a central location where it will be accessible to future team members and leaders. Each team will need to continue to update this information on at least an annual basis. It is hoped that this project can be completed by the end of the summer.
• The Transitional Pastor Search Team is engaged with several promising candidates right now through interviews. Timelines vary based on each Pastor’s current commitments.
• The Unity in Diversity team is partnering with the Growing as Disciples team on the Better Together Neurodiversity Series. Please come to Better Together each Wednesday, February 21 through March 20, from 5:30–6:45 p.m., to learn about neurodiversity. Then come on April 3 for a live stream event featuring Temple Grandin (6:00 p.m. dinner, live stream at 7:00 p.m.). Dinner provided at all events.
• The Unity in Diversity team is planning to for represent River Glen in Aurora's Pride Parade in June. If you’d like to be involved in the planning, or if you have a flatbed trailer they could borrow for the creation of a float, please contact Christy Palangattil or Kalina Waszak.
• The Building and Grounds team reports that our new electronic sign is being fabricated. It should be finished by March 15 and installed this Spring.
