Here are the Top 5 highlights from the Session meeting on Tuesday night. Feel free to contact the Session members listed below with any questions.

• The Session has called the Annual Meeting of the Congregation of River Glen for Sunday, January 28, 2024. The purpose is to receive the financial reports and vote on a proposed amendment to our congregation’s by-laws.

• We reviewed and approved a balanced budget for 2024 for presentation at the Meeting. Please turn in your 2024 pledge commitments and complete your year-end contributions for 2023.

• We received the final report on the congregation’s approval for the 2024 classes of Session (Dan Henriksen, Rachel Hume, Jacob Lamen, Terry Moore), Deacons (Tom Ekin and Rena Strahorn), and Nominating Committee (Caron Lamen, Lois Leadley, and Adam Catt).

• We are mailing "Experience Christmas at River Glen" postcards to approximately 2,300 houses around River Glen during the first week of December. Watch for extra postcards that you can take home to invite neighbors, family, and friends to join us this Advent season for our sermon series titled, Prepare The Way for The Lord starting this Sunday, the Live Nativity on December 10, our Christmas Cantata titled, The Songs of Emmanuel, on Sunday, December 17, and Christmas Eve services at 10:30 am and 5:00 pm on Sunday, December 24.

• A team met on Tuesday, November 27 to continue work on recommendations to help improve our social media presence and communication processes. In the meantime, we have updated our website and are working on more frequent Facebook and Instagram posts about River Glen activities and announcements.
