Pastor's Pondering - December 25, 2020

Merry Christmas everyone! May this first day of Christmastide be filled with the warmth and love of Jesus as we celebrate his holy birth. Christmas day begins the beautiful season of Christmastide which will culminate in our celebration of Epiphany on Sunday, January 3rd. Epiphany is the day we remember the story of the Magi coming from afar, to worship the new born King. It was a bright star that led them to Bethlehem, the place where Jesus was born. As has become our tradition at River Glen we will be marking the day by giving out Epiphany stars to everyone, stars that will help lead us in our spiritual journey this coming year. You will be receiving your stars in the mail this coming week. So, watch for them. And when they come we ask you not to look at the words on them until we worship together virtually in our service on January 3rd. Bring them with you to worship and we will experience the "big reveal" together. Star of wonder, star of night, star with royal beauty bright, westward leading still proceeding, guide us to the perfect light!

May 2021 be a year filled with wonder for all of us! Blessings and joy to all of you this day! Barbara
