Greetings Everyone!
You may have heard by now that I'm jumping in on a temporary basis help out with our children's ministry while we continue our search for just the right person to guide the faith development of our children here at River Glen. I've always considered children's ministry to be an important priority in the life of any congregation for many reasons, not the least of which is Jesus' love of children, He enjoyed sitting with them, talking with them and blessing them. "Let the little children come to me" he said to his disciples. "Do not stop them for the Kingdom belongs to them. Whoever does not receive the Kingdom of God as a little child will never enter it."
So, in many ways it is the children who will lead us to the kind of faith that will help us experience God's love and make Jesus known here in this place and beyond into the world. Let us embrace them, love them and encourage them in the same way that Jesus does. It is my joy to be able to help us do that for this moment in time.
