REV WEDNESDAYS

REV Wednesday is our Wednesday night program running 4-6 weeks in late fall and another 4-6 week session in early spring. A delicious home-cooked meal is served followed by a presentation and/or a lesson while children practice for the  Christmas or Spring musical. This fellowship time mid-week is wonderful and helps to bring your focus back to what is truly important in your life.  REV Wednesdays start at 5:45 PM and end at 7 PM. Stay tuned to the church e-news, weekly service bulletin and the opportunities table to know when REV Wednesdays will run.

BIG SPLASH ANNUAL RETREAT

Join old friends and make new on a weekend in late August/early September at the beautiful Covenant Harbor Retreat Center in Lake Geneva. This fun-filled get-away includes activities and discussions to help us better understand how we all can encounter joy in different ways and unexpected places.

Outside there are places to walk, places to play (zip lining, ropes courses, beach volleyball), and places to worship (a boathouse, an amphitheater, campfires).  Inside, recently remodeled rooms with private baths and a group dining room, meeting rooms, and a full-size gymnasium and game room await you. And, all of this is just a short lakeside walk from quaint downtown Lake Geneva —there is something for everyone.

SMALL GROUP BIBLE STUDY

Small Group Bible Study is one of the best ways to connect with each other and to grow spiritually. Many members and friends of River Glen are in a small groups of eight to twelve members and meet at a variety of times and intervals to discuss scripture, books, or other topics of interest.   At least once a year, a church-wide small group study is provided to coordinate with the sermons. Please check with the church office at office@riverglen.org to find out about groups that are forming now.

THURSDAY BOOK STUDIES

Join us on Thursday mornings at 10 AM at River Glen for conversation around books that help us in our faith.

Not able to take part in person? No problem, you can follow along via our Facebook group.

EMPTY NESTERS

This group of senior adults continues to grow spiritually by sharing in book and Bible studies periodically.  They are also involved in service projects.  Through a variety of events, every member of this group has an opportunity to enjoy the company and fellowship of other mature Christians.  For more information, contact Peg McCall.

SCRAPS ON A MISSION

Scraps on a Mission creates quilts for those in need.  This past year we provided quilts for two women's shelters and the pediatric division at Edward Hospital.  We meet once a month from February thru October. All levels of skill are welcome.  If you are interested, please contact the office and they can connect you to the group.

YARNS OF LOVE

Yarns of Love is a knitting and crocheting fellowship, which began to answer a national call for woolen helmet liners for our soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan. Their projects have expanded to create lap robes for a VA Hospital, baby caps for infants in developing countries, chemo caps for local cancer centers and they have begun a Prayer Shawl Ministry for church members and friends. This group does not meet at the church any more due to declining membership but works individually at home. We welcome beginners as well as experienced needle-workers. If you are interested, please contact the office and and they can connect you to the leader.
