Being part of River Glen means being connected to one another and the community in ways that foster empathy, listening, and care. We do this through:

    • Deacons – Compassionate undershepherds of the congregation who support those going through difficulties, hardships, and grief.  Can you recall a moment when someone reached out to you with compassion? Perhaps a stranger offered a smile that unknowingly comforted you in time of personal crisis. Paul names such act of kindness and compassion as being the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22).

The Board of Deacons seeks to minister to those who are in need—to the sick, to the friendless and to any who may be in distress—within our congregation and the surrounding community.

    • Stephen Ministers – trained members of the congregation who partner with specific people experiencing hard times in life to provide weekly support and prayer    https://www.stephenministries.org

    • Fellowship activities – these are the many ways River Glen gathers throughout the week and year: coffee hour, Wednesday night dinner and Bible study or continuing education, various movie nights, young adult gatherings, small group fellowship, book groups, and home Bible studies.
