Thank you for visiting River Glen. You are warmly welcomed regardless of where you’ve been on your walk of life, or where you are today in your faith journey.
River Glen is a place that genuinely values relationship with one another and with God. On Sunday mornings, we reach out with hospitality, welcoming all into our church family. In our worship services, we are engaged with a God who is real to us in a way that feels natural and comfortable. Because of this warmth and spiritual energy, many who come once return again and again because they feel that “I got what I came for.”
Beyond our Sunday worship times, the children, youth, and adults of the congregation are involved in the life of the church and surrounding community. We connect each Sunday through worship, but find our closest friendships through small groups in which we share life, support, and mission together.
At River Glen, Jesus is known, broken lives are healed, and people find ways to honor God by making a difference in our world. We feel permission to take initiative in identifying needs and meeting them in ways that express our bedrock beliefs, mission and values.
We invite you to visit us on a Sunday morning. The schedule is as follows.
9:00 a.m. – LEARNING (Education for All Ages) – Each Sunday children through adults gather to learn together. Nursery care is provided through the morning. The children gather together in a blend of large and small group experiences. There is a class for junior and senior high school students. Adults choose between two options – a Bible-centered focus in one class and a contemporary issues focus in the other.
10:00 am – GATHERING (A Time of Fellowship) – As the nurturing of community is important to the people of River Glen, we offer a time to gather and converse before we enter worship.
10:30 am – WORSHIPING – We invite you to join us for a worship service which draws upon a rich variety of elements from traditional to contemporary. Our worship is often enriched by the blend of the congregation’s adult choir, worship team, bell choirs, or children’s choir. Each service is drawn thematically around the message of the morning which aims to connect God’s Story to our stories. At the root of all the worship, is the sincere hope that the experience will lift the spirits of all worshipers and help them find spiritual strength for the week ahead.
